cafeteria

St. Pius X School participates in the Federal Lunch Program. All students must eat in the school cafeteria. A hot lunch, as well as milk, may be bought in the school cafeteria at a nominal price. Students may bring their lunch if they so desire. FAST FOOD LUNCHES AND CAN SOFT DRINKS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ANY TIME. Courtesy is expected at all times from each and every student in the cafeteria. Good table manners are the rule.

Obviously an operation of this size does not run by itself. It requires good administration, good cooks, and parent cooperation. The parent is needed to help the staff prepare and serve the food, clean the kitchen and wipe the tables.

St. Pius X School Wellness Policy

The Diocese of Covington and St. Pius X School as part of the Diocese is committed to providing nutritious meals in our schools. Healthy, well-nourished students learn better, are more attentive and cause fewer discipline problems. While we realize that schools cannot be expected to shoulder the burden or reversing the trend in childhood obesity on their own, we must do our part to provide a policy and environmental changes support healthier choices for both students and staff.     read more
