Lunchbox System
Attention All St. Pius X School Parents:
We are in the process of eliminating the lunch tokens. I have purchased the Lunchbox System. Instead of me sending tokens home with your child I can credit their account with your check. If at all possible I would prefer a check instead of cash because you in turn would have your cancelled check back in case there is a problem with the account.
When sending in your check, please put on the memo part or send a note of how much you would like your child or children to have in their account. This check could also be used for any ala carte item or an extra milk that they would like to purchase and I will credit their account. The students will eventually use their ID cards to use with the scanner and we have already assigned each student a number in case they lose or forget their ID Badge. They will use the keypad in that case. I also have a listing of each students number in case they forget .I will send home the ID numbers for your children in a envelope with your family name.
Please tell your child that their ID number is personal and should not be given out to anyone else. Because if they tell another person/student they can use it and it will be deducted from their account for a lunch, ala carte, or a drink. So please address this with them.
If you have any green, gold or silver tokens left or have recently purchased them, please turn them in and I will credit your child(rens) account. Please tell me how you would like them distributed per child. I will accept them all the way thru the month of November and starting in December we will no longer use tokens. Please mark on the bag or enclose a note with your family name, amount of tokens and which student you would like to have the credit.
The system that I now have I cannot send a reminder home at this time to let you know when you are low on funds in their account. I will eventually have this and also you will be able to check on line in the near future. I cannot accept credit cards here or on line, due to the fee involved to process the transaction. Just a suggestion to keep track of your account, you could mark it off on the lunch menu the days that your child(ren) are buying.
Please be patient. I am still learning the system. I do think this will eliminate lost or stolen tokens and keeping the spreading of germs to a minimum in our school.
