My Interests: In addition to
teaching in the classroom, I also enjoy doing some non-formal educational
activities with groups. I think I am
talented in leadership and drama, among other things.
My Greatest Influence: My greatest influence of course has to be my parents first and foremost, although I would have to say my teachers collectively. So many teachers have influenced me in many different positive ways that I could not pinpoint one. I will say that I have a great friend who also is a huge positive influence in my life.
Favorite Catholic saint: My patron, St. Cecilia
My Favorite Color: I used to always answer green, but
anymore I appreciate every color in the spectrum.
My Favorite Hobbies and/or Vacation:
Although I don’t get to do it very often, one of my favorite things to do is
camp/hike. I love to identify
wildflowers and observe natural areas.
I co teach a drama class at Expressions Dance Theatre and coach
volleyball for St. Cecilia.
My Favorite Singers: Oh, I love music! I love classic rock and jam bands that favor the blues or jazz. I really like just about any kind of music, but my favorite singers are the soulful singers, such as Jack Johnson, Warren Haynes, Bonnie Raitt, and many others.
My Favorite Holiday: My favorite holiday has to be Christmas because I have so many fond memories of Christmases past.
My Homework Philosophy:
Spend
the time to do it and do it right because it will only help you in the long run.
It is there as a reinforcement of what is taught.
Why I like teaching at St. Pius X: I am super happy to be here so I can be my whole self by teaching about our faith and the goodness of God. You can find a good education at any school, but only one to encompass your whole self at a Catholic school.
Favorite Sports and/or Teams: I
really like sports and my favorites are our local teams.
Favorite food: I really like Mexican and Chinese, although
a good ole American cheeseburger is good too!
