Mrs. Fischer is in her third year of teaching at St. Pius X School.
Several interesting facts about Mrs. Fischer:
She enjoys being a teacher because of the children and their excitement about life.
She likes to give homework that will strengthen skills taught in class and that will involve parents.
Her mother has been the greatest influence on her life. Her mother is also the author of her favorite book, Lessons Learned.
Her best vacation memory is a trip to the Smokey Mountains when she was a kid, the time her grandmother had a bear stick its head through her open car window.
She graduated from Dixie Heights High School.
The best gifts she ever received are her children, Cassie and Maddie.
Her favorite hobbies are gardening and camping. She also has a special talent for painting - she painted a mural of Churchill Downs on her mom's wall.
"When she was in school" they watched "film strips", not videotapes. There were no personal computers, so papers were hand written and then typed on a "typewriter".
Her favorite sports team is the Cincinnati Reds.
She likes songs by Paul McCartney, especially "Let It Be".
Her favorite Catholic Saint is St. Francis of Assisi, Patron of animals, merchants, and ecologists.
Favorite color - purple.
Favorite foods - anything Mexican, and chocolate chip cookies.
