Some interesting things about Ms. Kelly:
My Family: I am single and have a dog, Callie and a cat, Sunshine.
My Education: I have a BS in Agriculture (Animal Science) from UK, and a BS in Biology from NKU. I have an MS in Biology (Ecology) from the University of Cincinnati. My teaching certificate is also from UC.
My Talents: I enjoy photography and nature. I can recognize many sounds in nature, from bird calls to chipmunks and frogs. I lead natural history hikes in order to share what I know with others.
My Greatest Influence: My parents, for their love and encouragement; staying at my grandparents farm as a child; and people who are thinkers as well as doers. I am inspired by my time spent in the woods.
Favorite Catholic saint is St. Francis of Assisi.
My Favorite Color is "green" of course!
My Favorite Hobbies and/or Vacation: Birdwatching, photography and gardening
My Favorite Holiday is Summer Vacation.
My Homework Philosophy: Homework should be brief and should reinforce new concepts.
Why I like teaching at St. Pius X: St. Pius X is a wonderful school with so many opportunities for students as well as teachers. The technology is so good and I love the new Science Lab. There is wealth of parental support and education is valued here. Last, but not least, my colleagues are super (people as well as teachers)!
Favorite Sports and/or Teams: The St. Pius Panthers!
